Matt Adams, 2017 APPM Conference Speaker

Matt Adams is a Producer at National Geographic, where his focus is working on building the photo community known as Your Shot. Before National Geographic, Matt worked as a freelance photojournalist for 10 years doing assignment work for clients such as the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Spin Magazine, Alternative Press, Guitar World, Toronto Life, Pittsburgh Magazine and The Hockey News Magazine.

He taught at Point Park University as an adjunct instructor and in his three years there he taught classes that focused on photo editing, portfolio building, video editing, and multimedia. Before teaching, Matt was a gradate student at Ohio University studying in the School of Visual Communication program and was a Senior Producer on the award-winning Soul of Athens multimedia project. He was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA but currently resides in Washington, DC. Pittsburgh will always be home to him.
